An ambiguous remark because you can’t really tell if Obama was trying to snub Sarkozy or flatter his wife. Still, Emily Post and Miss Manners wouldn’t have approved of how Obama put it. I might not blame Sarkozy for replying by asking if Obama got his nose caught on a lamp post.
