To: Protect the Bill of Rights

I’ve been in environments that were fun and had a lot of joking around and went out together after work. Then someone who’s part of our group (we think) goes to HR (doesn’t discuss with us first) because someone else said something that offended them. Then we all get to talk to HR. And the manager has to start enforcing HR rules to the letter. And we don’t have as much fun at work. Productivity seems to go down as there’s less incentive for everyone to stay late, get pizza, and have fun as we someone finish a task. And we don’t invite the person who started the problems when we go out after work. I wouldn’t call it hostility, but the person who caused it certainly isn’t at the top of everyone’s list and isn’t someone we’re going out of our way to help any more.

bvw’s American Prosperity Plan:

Ban HR departments and tar and post-it note all HR people. Tie them to their ergonomic desk chairs and roll them out onto the sidewalk. Give them a surplus OWS tent as severance.
