So true. They swear to protect and defend it yet as soon as they’re elected they are the ones attacking it, destroying it right off the bat. I look at the 2nd Amendment for example: If I’m not mistaken, it’s the only right in the Constitution that implicitly states “Shall not be infringed”. Has the word “not” taken on some kind of invisibility in the English language? Where somehow these people just skip right over it when reading a sentence? Are they using the Bill Clinton method of dissecting sentences “it depends what is is”? “Oh ‘not” can mean ‘definitely’! Yes, pass the law banning all firearms! the Constitution says ‘Shall definitely be infringed’”?
Shall not be infringed
To the two of us, the Constitution and the oath taken by military and public servants has great meaning. Unfortunately the majority of folks form their own gospel of government, just as they do their gospel of Jesus Christ. Believing what they will, in total disregard of scripture to the contrary.
I’m quite sure the only way that the importance of the founding documents much less the principles on which they were founded, will ever be reestablished as the foundation for the Republic will be, when public trails for treason become more important than the present overwhelming need to abort the next 10 or fifteen generations of Americans.
