This whole thing is so bizarre after a while.

We can say that 1% have a disproportionate amount of wealth and all that. So that means 99% of us are not in that group.

But what makes these protesters think that the 99% support them? I’m in that 99%, but, I also value the social, economic, and political stability of the United States. I absolutely do not want these radicals to stage some sort of revolution to overthrow the existing order.

I’ve done ok in life, but not nearly enough to get into that top 1%. But I think our existing economic and social order should be preserved, not destroyed in pursuit of some mythical utopia. And I value the contributions of the 1% in terms of their creating businesses, which creates jobs for all of us, and contributing to charities. I do not demonize people who have greater wealth than I do.
