Question for journos: Why the heck don't y'all just cut to the chase and ask ALL the candidates if they've ever screwed around on their spouses.

All I care about is an honest answer, not the gory details.

Makes sense, but I doubt you’ll get any response from other candidates not under the gun.

In Cain’s case, it’s a big media storyline and he needs it to stop. At this point, the only way I can see to make it stop is to offer reasonable prove it didn’t happen.
