A spokesman for Texas Gov. Rick Perrys campaign is adamantly denying that members of the GOP presidential candidate's staff leaked a story has swamped Herman Cain's campaign this week. Instead, the Perry camp is pointing a finger at the campaign of another rival Republican, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, as a possible source of the report about the sexual-harassment charges levelled a decade ago against Cain by female subordinates at the National Restaurant Association.

Why would DeMint or Palin want all this grief?
Both were smart to say uhuh.
Because many people were on the sidelines waiting for their choice to enter the race, and when she didn’t, they were despondent, had already torn apart every other conservative to keep the field clear for her, and all that was left was the inexperienced amateur Cain, who they hadn’t attacked because they didn’t see the point?
LOL. Well, if Perry's campaign is the guilty party, it's spokesman can hardly cite another campaign "with evidence"!
Furthermore, Cain doesn't have to provide a source, not to the media, and not at this time. We don't know exactly the venue Cain might want to pursue.
One of his campaign people was a lawyer for Cain (I think). There are many links to his campaign, but Cain should be more careful with these accusations.
Cain is constantly shooting from the lip, “the rock”, “the electric fence” “real guns with real bullets”
Now his position on the fence mirrors Perry’s LoL.
Not on your life, mylife.
There’s no there.
“Quit whining”. I’m not, NowApp...just worried.
LOL. Right, so now the Perry supporters are parsing words. I thought you got angry at Cain for calling your guy insensitive because of a rock...and now, you are doing the same with semantics! LOL. Typical.
What you say, of course, is what actually does make sense, but it does not seem to deter those who are willing to accept baseless allegations without throroughly analyzing them. Launching a cascade of weak allegations is the greatest possible success that the desparate Obamabots could hope for.
I am on record for admiring Cain.
But his hemming and hawing have put me off of him.
If Romney and Perry were smart, they'd say unless you tell me who in my campaign leaked it, I will not comment...That keeps them out of it without a name they aren't involved.
Cain should demand a name or use the word slander. Let the females get in the public and lets put them through the same wringer Cain is going through.
No DNA, no police report of abuse with pictures, its just a he said she said and the one that got the money has motivation to get more money...I want more proof than her mouth...That's not proof.
Can we say disgruntled employee.
I am getting sick and tired of women that cannot hack it in the business world yelling harassment. It gets heard so much that the very few that are truly sexually harassed don't get believed....Same goes for yelling rape when you sober up...Its too horrible a crime to let it be yelled out by some drunken female that decided to go to some scums apartment...Since the 60's females have gotten stupid. Go to some guys apartment that you just met, what the hell do you expect..
It will never be swept under the rug unless the woman comes out in public and the American people know more about HER. The leaking, speculating and paranoia are falling right into the democrats lap. It would BLOW half the bloggers on this site away IF the leak came from a left winger. At one time I was gung ho over election 2012...now I am sick at heart and almost ready to tune out politics. Watching the gop devour their own is disgusting. One reason I like the Reagan law...
Now who do we believe? When it was Cain denying rumors with no evidence, the rule was we believe Cain, and not the rumors.
I am firmly on that train. The aide denies it, if there is no evidence that he was involved, then I believe the aide.
And after a day of seeing Romney connections all over this forum, to have Cain come out and directly accuse Perry is just about the last straw for me. That’s twice now Perry has falsely accused Perry of something.
And remember, this morning Cain said he was sure this had to do with him being black, but had no evidence. So — is he saying his aide, a guy who tried to get him elected in 2004, is a racist?
Cain doesn’t know what Cain is saying anymore. He’s gone from sweet innocent Cain to angry bitter Cain — in his very first crisis.
Look — there’s a reason we don’t elect amateurs with NO EXPERIENCE to the highest office in our land. It’s because we have no idea how they will react when something goes wrong. Now we see, and it’s not pretty.
I’ve been hard on Cain for his organization and messaging. But I’ve been behind him on the charges against him, and defended him against personal attacks made by others here.
But since Cain has now shown twice that he is willing not to just suggest, but to directly accuse another individual falsely, I’m not sure why I should care if he is being falsely accused.
And when I see the Perry campaign’s actual words, if it turns out someone on their campaign staff made a specific charge against a Romney staffer, and they don’t have proof, I’ll call for their head as well.
Oh, really. Well if you’re that into splitting hairs, then I will point out to you that Cain did not “personally accuse” anybody. It was his campaign manager.
I can’t help but wonder -— who ultimately benefits from this Cain-Perry-Romney merry-go-round?
The most ironclad case against Mitt Romney
Read it. Know it. Share it. Link it. Its damning.
We shall see.
This whole deal makes me sick.
I am still mad about Cain for the rock BS.
It would appear that there's only two degrees of separation between the lawyer and Hillary Clinton.
