I had a sister that was as smarmy and defiant as the day is long. I watched her get it with a belt more than once in my life. She always came back stronger, with attitude to boot.
One day, my dad had enough.
Had a camera been on him that day, he would have been in jail too. Yet my siblings and I watched this bully get put in her place and loved it. God knows she beat on us more than once.

My sister was chronically antagonizing my mom when we were kids (there were six of us) and I remember one time after she set my mom off, we were standing around her and one of us hissed at her “What is the matter with you? Now you’ve done it!”
On that day, none of us would have felt badly at all if she had been given the belt by my poor mom.
Yes I agree. Never got the belt myself but did get old-fashioned bare rear spankings until well into my teens. It worked! This guy was a little over the line, and I don’t care for his language, but I think people are judging him too quickly.
