“No speech codes in your house, right?”

I enforce some rules on civility, as does JR.

But if one of my kids comes home from school with an implanted liberal notion, I don’t lock them out.

I engage. Because I sincerely want to change their minds. Threats and cold shoulders are none too effective in that regard.

Reason can often cure the illness JR (apparently) seeks merely to identify.

How would you feel if that kid spray painted that liberal notion on the side of your house? That is more an apt analogy because they are using your house to physically promote their liberal notions in the same way promoting a candidate or position here uses physical resources owned by Jim.

As another poster said, you may have the right to free speech, but I don’t have to give you my megaphone.

So you equate yourself to a child in Jim's house, you are entitled to come in with any belief you care to promote and Jim and the rest of us have to tolerate you.

From another viewpoint, your kid comes home leading Bill Ayres, Saul Alinsky or Larry Flynt. Obviously you allow 'em in as you expect Jim to allow you to bring in Romney shills.
