....... My guess is that now that Mr. Cain has categorically denied the allegations ...... whoever planted the story will bring out some bigger allegations in an attempt to smear his reputation.
In the mean time he will be forced to be constantly on the defense keeping him from discussing the real issues facing this country.
Yup ..... that's politics!

Hehehe...guess that little smear ploy didn;t work out for whomever tried it.
People trust Herman Cain...and they like his ideas and believe he will restore the country to its intended and proper path...and away from the progressive/maxist fundamental change Obama is forcing on all of us.

Just made a contribution. I hope conservatives see this for what it is, as Honorable Thomas said a “high tech lynching”.
Nothing more.

The GOPbot Establishement and Karl Rove better buy a clue. They have everyone from Rush Limbaugh to Sean Hannity defending Cain.
REALLY stupid politic move by the GOP machine on this one.

Since being a Monthly Donor is a really GOOD thing, we signed up as a monthly donor to Herman Cain’s campaign. But when this came out, we kicked in another contribution, both to Herman and to FreeRepublic.com!

I sent in $20 this weekend on the spur of the moment. Just for the hell of it.

This was going to come out sooner or later and the "story" will evolve over the coming weeks. With that much time left before the Iowa Caucus and the first primaries I think the Cain campaign can not only recover but could use what is clearly a hit job to solidify its base. The accusations hardly amount to a bimbo eruption, much less being found in bed with a live boy or a dead girl.
Of course, that assumes he and his people are competent players of the Conservative media strings and don't panic, and especially if they can somehow (true or not) tie this disclosure in the public's mind to the Romney campaign. For better or worse I think Perry has shot his wad and should probably turn tail back to Texas. And Romney is like McCain with much heavier baggage and no "war hero" status to fall back on. So if Cain's people can hold their water, not panic, and play innocent injured party, they might be able to turn this lemon into lemon aid.

I predicted yesterday that this would backfire huge on the drive-bys. Our side specifically, but all sensible people, are just sick and tired of the media picking the candidates and doing their sniper routine on conservatives.
