As a recipient of one of those BS degrees, I admire the motive, but totally reject your premise.

Don't lend for ANYBODY.

If somebody can't get an academic scholarship, they should just do the Old School deal and WORK FOR IT.

In fact, I'm more liable to hire an engineer who has actually worked for something than the Magna Cum Laude who might just not be able to pour stuff out of a boot.
