Racial stereotypes are perhaps the most pernicious of all hidden racism, and the data dump released this weekend on Herman Cain plays to the most vile of human impulses.
The headline allegation is that Cain engaged in sexual harassment. The rest of the story is that there is nothing to the charge and Cain is the victim of a racial smear.

DPODS !! ...agreed.
I don't doubt that Mr. Blow Dried Hair with the radioactive teeth approved the move.
I agree - Rove is off my list big time.
As for the attacks now on Romney, I do NOT believe any of this, it has nothing to do with Romney. I support Romney, however at this juncture, since I hate so much what the liberal socialist pigs are doing to Cain right now, I am switching my vote to Cain.
And I will be on his website shortly to give my donation to his campaign.
Don’t be Hasty, this smells more like Texas Style LBJ politics.
If Mitt was part of this smear, then Cain has good reason to re-think his earlier gestures of comity towards Mitt. Some say it wasn’t Mitt — it was Perry. Maybe it was just Rove.
The ride to the bottom will be bumpy to be sure, but it will not take long from here.
Karl Rove may be a lot of things but one of the things he is definitely not is STUPID. There is no way Rove and Romney orchestrated this hit on Cain. But that’s what the libs would like you to think . . . and you play right into their hands with this nonsense. Bend over while Obama has his way with you.
Whoever did it did Cain a favor. It is important to get this out now.
I don’t like Rove but, there is no evidence agaist him in this case. Is there?
Karl Rove a PRO at destroying reputations and ruining the lives of good folks to advance his personal political agenda:
1992 George H. W. Bush presidential campaign Rove was fired from the 1992 Bush presidential campaign after he planted a negative story with columnist Robert Novak about dissatisfaction with campaign fundraising chief Robert Mosbacher Jr. (Esquire Magazine, January 2003). Novak provided some evidence of motive in his column describing the firing of Mosbacher by former Senator Phil Gramm: “Also attending the session was political consultant Karl Rove, who had been shoved aside by Mosbacher.” Novak and Rove deny that Rove was the leaker, but Mosbacher maintained that “Rove is the only one with a motive to leak this. We let him go. I still believe he did it.”[25] During testimony before the CIA leak grand jury, Rove apparently confirmed his prior involvement with Novak in the 1992 campaign leak, according to National Journal reporter Murray Waas.[26]

your pathetic defense of Romney wont work, this has Romney’s fingerprints all over it.
Go CAIN !
Romney has been carrying on as a treacherous flip flopper, and Cain has not. If Mitt stays true to form, he would be very, very difficult to deal with as a president, at least as difficult for conservatives as for the leftiest Democrats.
Is Rove working for a campaign? I honestly don’t know, and am asking . . . .
It looks like Karl is using his fox news appearances to campaign for Romney. Maybe fox news should give equal time to the other candidates.
Why are you pickin’ on dog excrement?
Whenever Team Romney had rumors they wanted to start about other candidates,
Jonathan Martin has been their go-to guy to get those rumors in writing in front of a national audience.
Who benefits most from Sanford meltdown? Californian (that's right) Mitt Romney
"Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney"
"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"
"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"
"Romney Supporters Trashing Palin"
"Romney advisors sniping at Palin?"
Don’t be hasty about that either. Jonathan Martin was just on TV and said Politico has been working on this story for weeks, and implied he has talked to the women. This story did not happen overnight.
Also, do you remember if Politico broke the painted-over rock at the hunting lease story?
Karl Rove to Herman Cain: True or false?
Karl Rove said Monday that Herman Cain has failed to properly respond to the POLITICO report that at least two women accused him of inappropriate behavior, saying he needs to say yes or no.
I think Geraldo had it right last night you simply cant say go talk to the National Restaurant Association and refuse to answer the question, Were there any monetary settlements involved in these things, Rove said, referring to Fox News host Geraldo Riveras phone interview with Cain spokesman J.D. Gordon Sunday night hours after the report was first published, in which Rivera repeatedly asked whether there had been any cash settlements.
