In most states these people, rightfully have no say in the Republican Primary, which is by any definition a Party election....ie An intermural event.


Texas isn’t most states. You register to vote and on primary day all voters, democrats, republicans and independents, enter the voting locations and sign in to vote. They are asked, GOP or Democratic ballot. You declare your voting preference on the day of the primary at the polls, not when you register. So yes, independents/democrats can vote in the GOP primary should they choose.

I understand. Many other states have that same law. It’s non sensical.....really just a means for crossover voting by the opposition to knock-out the oppositions party’s best candidate......As a nation we need to get back to fundamentals, as stay away from the razzal-dazzal nonsense.

You should see the scheme the California Dems just passed.....there may not even be a Republican on the ballot in most races.....just 2 Democrats.....what a choice!
