Is this part of a post a few weeks ago about Turkey modifying the IFF on it’s F-16’s?

Is this another DNC-designed treason
to enable Iranian software
to be used against US aircraft?
Good thing such an attack could NEVER happen, right?

So, just as Turkey appears to be falling solidly in the Islamist, new Ottoman Caliphate camp, we start to shove weapons at them? Nice.

It’s scary how ignorant & naive members of Congress are.(Republicans included)
I hope they aren’t foolish enough to go along with this.

Meanwhile, it is not clear whether the US administration will seek US congressional authorization for another long-standing Turkish request for the sale of four Predator unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and two armed Reaper UAVs.However, some of the weapons, including Predators that the US reportedly pledged to transfer to Turkey as it withdraws from Iraq in December of this year, are said to not be subject to the approval of the US Congress. These are weapons the US used during its war in Iraq.
What am I missing here? Has Congress already approved their transfer?

Turkey needs to receive a polite but firm NO on arms & tech purchases in the near future. The country is clearly becoming more islamist.
Not surprisingly, Obama is doing the opposite.
I'm guessing the software changes will allow the F-16 weapons systems to be used against US, NATO, or Israeli targets.

Hopefully will include plenty of malware and dead spaghetti code so as to make it impossible to mod.

Are they using Windows XP on these birds?
No problem then, every time they turn on the power it takes 30 minutes to boot up and load the upgrades.
Then the blue screen of death pops up.
Would not want to fly something controlled by a windows based program...../S

“What am I missing here? Has Congress already approved their transfer?”
When our patriotic Congressmen write these laws, they include lots of “yeah, buts” & “oh, by the ways”, so that their family & friends can sell arms to almost anybody. These F&Fs then write a fat check to the reelection campaign of their Congressman.
It's a simple system but it works very well for the Congressmen.

This is part of a deal to buy off the Turks and get their assurance that they will not invade Iraq after we leave.

I’m sure it will work right the first time. Ever seen an F16 fly in reverse and upside down. Don’t need no stinkin’ exception handling.

The Turks desire to attack Israel and want to turn off the back doors.

Two obvious comments.
1. Treason.
2. Good luck to someone trying to modify code that is as complex as this.
Note that the above two statements are not incompatible - simply looking at the problem from two differing paradigms.
