I recently learned that President Ronald Reagan designated 1983 as the national Year of the Bible. I seriously doubt that such a proclamation would pass Congress today.
Rather than giving you a play-by-play of the game, let's say that for 95% of the game, Tebow's performance was unimpressive. Miami was beating Denver 15 to zero. Then, with 2 minutes left in the game, Tebow brought his team back to tie the score. Tebow's team won the game in overtime. Wow!
When interviewed after the game about his amazing comeback and win, Tebow said the last thing I am sure the liberal media wanted to hear: "First, I would like to thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ."
Folks, I yelled, "Yes!" and felt a little tearful. Please do not get me wrong. I am not suggesting that Tim Tebow walks on water. I am saying that in our culture, which celebrates crudeness and the lowest common denominator, it is extremely refreshing to see this young man boldly standing up for traditional wholesome principles and values.
Unquestionably, the American left has launched a war against Christianity. We are lectured and threatened with political correctness to respect every religion under the sun except Christianity (and, increasingly, Judaism). It is open season on trashing Christians in movies, political interviews, etc. The Christian is portrayed as the nutjob, the loser, or the nerd.
Rumor has it that Tebow is an extremely hard worker and a born leader -- sounds similar to a fireball from Wasilla, Alaska who is also despised in the liberal media for similar reasons.

How ‘bout them ‘dawgs..... I retired from UF in ‘03, so I missed getting to see Tim play, but, I did get to bask in the glory of another former Gator - Danny Wuerffel. Both men make me proud to be a Gator and proud to be an American.
I didn’t know that. Thanks for the info. I wish I could homeschool my 6th grader but it is not something that would work for us. So, instead, I make myself a pest at the school and stay on top of what’s going on.
We managed to get one this weekend. I held my breath too long and nearly passed out.
Our special teams are horrible, and Florida’s QB situation is bad. It made for a close game.
BTW, our QB’s numbers were not much better, but our running game was ok. A really good defense and an ok running game was the difference.
I don’t know if SC will loose and put the Dawgs in the SEC game. I don’t know that either would do well against the West winner. Maybe, SC going and getting stomped and UGA getting a better bowl and final rating would be a good thing?
LOL, I don’t know. I think UGA’s defense would keep us close against either LSU or Alabama, but they are both scary good.
You may not know what happened to Scott O'Grady but many of the rest of us do.
