Free Republic is not a 'communist country' SD. That fact that JR has allowed you to spout off so much so far is evidence that you whine is not factual.

However, you forget that this is also JR's house, and it is not nice to spit on its owner so glibly.

What happens to employees who don’t have health insurance?

As of July 1, 2007:

* With few exceptions, Massachusetts residents age 18 and older must carry health insurance that meets the minimum standards set by the Health Connector. This is known as the “Individual Mandate.”
* Adults who cannot afford a plan that meets Health Connector standards can apply to the Health Connector for a waiver.
* Those who do not get insurance or a waiver by December 31, 2007 will lose their state personal income tax exemption when filing their 2007 state personal income taxes.
* If their religion does not allow them to carry health insurance, they can file a statement with their state tax return.
* In 2008, the penalties on adults who do not carry health insurance will grow significantly. Uninsured adults will be fined 1/2 of the monthly premium cost of the most affordable health plan available to them, as certified by the Health Connector.

How is the Individual Mandate enforced?

By the Massachusetts Department of Revenue, through the process of collecting state income taxes.

Saundra, you should know better. It's not a free speech issue to be posting on FR, you can free speech anywhere you want -- and thusly your rights are not violated -- except perhaps FR (if you post love for MittR) or RedState.

My gawd, that comment is stunning in its juvenile stupidity.

You are free to start your own blog or website and spout whatever opinion you want.

But the First Amendment doesn't stop with freedom of speech - it also clearly implies freedom of association, and Jim says he doesn't want to associate with Romney-pimping RINOs. You apparently think Jim should be forced to allow viewpoints on FR that he vehemently disagrees with.

So who is the one taking an anti-freedom approach here? Look in the mirror for the answer, Saundra. It is not censorship for Jim to set standards for his own website.
