Ultimately the most real love -- the only love that matters in the end -- doesn't come from people at all. People are fickle, they go crazy, they die. No individual person can be relied on unconditionally. This love I mean comes from God and is very strange by the standards of the world. It is a love that will hunt you down to the very ends of the earth when people would all be saying "What's the bother? It's not worth it." It is a love that loves you whether your mug is a glamor plate or you suffer from some hideous disfiguring disease. But it's also a jealous love, insisting you do things this way and not that.

Thanks so much HiTechRedNeck for that essence of truth. It is also true that the light of that love shining from any mug is the most beautiful. Earthly beauty fades and we can’t take the money with us. Appreciate your reminder.
