I don't believe it will be a "walk in the park", but I believe that any GOP nominee will carry Ohio, and by several points. This poll has always shown very poor performance in polling Ohio, and the sampling in this poll is way out of whack compared to actual turnout in 2010.
In addition, the last election was such a wipeout for the Dems that there are no Democrats in statewide offices, and their numbers in the General Assembly have left them powerless. Are we to believe than an electorate that turned out so many Democrats will do an about-face and reelect an unpopular Obama?
I'm not overconfident, but I am confident.
Maybe not, but I have always felt that one election cycle doesn't necessarily indicate how a state will vote in the next one. I believe that Obama will carry Wisconsin next year, regardless of whom the GOP nominee is. I would be very happy to be wrong on that.
And I didn't post this to say that Obama has Ohio "in the bag" necessarily, but merely to indicate that he will not be as easy to beat as some seem to think. :^)
I would help if the GOP candidate were to dig up the video of Barry lying to them in ‘08 about repealing NAFTA and run that on television about every 15 minutes.
