Absolutely. Things that drive me nuts:
1. Phone on ear, car window down, @ ATM.
2. Swinging a purse while arms are loaded down with stuff.
3. Running in “for just a minute” with kids in car - running.
4. Not locking doors.
We don’t live in fear, just preparation. Stuff happens. It just seems to happen more often to those who don’t pay attention.
As to the “gun would not have helped”. Perhaps.
