Glenn Beck

Herman Cain, Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann … you can all go home now. The Republican "machine" has settled on former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney as the 2012 GOP nominee and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio as the vice-presidential candidate, according to popular commentator Glenn Beck.

To: Psalm 144; The Theophilus

Excellent points, all of them, Ps 144.

I would add the arguments of the Declaration of Independence, a document that spoke to Christians, that also sought to demonstrate when it is just and right to overthrow one government in favor of another.

***Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security***

David appears to have gone out of his way NOT to fight against God’s annointed king, Saul. Yet, Jeroboam got a green light against Rehoboam when Rehoboam chose to enact terrific burdens on the people.

“suggest sending directly to the candidate.”
Thanks Psalm. It’s what I do now and it works on a number of levels. You don’t have to support orgs/PACS that don’t embrace your values or are going to waste your donation, you can pick and choose those Conservatives who just might win and you get really nice thank you notes!

We need to remember that there are three branches of government and focus like a laser on that which really matters next year.

yep, he killed his chances the night of the first debate with that assinine quote about people not having compassion for declining to tuition for illegals.

He was done that night and knows it.

Rubio would be better served waiting; there remains serious questions as to his ability to meet Constitutional concerns. He can do what Reagan did....drum up support for Constitutional conservatives and gain experience and recognition as well. Then, we can see what happens down the road.
