This tells me the pharmaceutical company that manufactures the vaccine is a (rich and) powerful lobby.
If our Liberty is NOT ABUSED by demanding, under law, that all boys be vaccinated for HPPV, then how is it that Liberty IS ABUSED if it be demanded, by law, that all single men abstain from sexual intercourse before marriage? Why is one a horrible intrusion on our Liberty, and the other not? Both have at their source the intent to foster “public health” and to defend the benefit to us all that that is.

I’ve thought, since I bothered to understand the issue, that if these people were serious it certainly SHOULD include boys. Boys are carriers, I don’t see how you can cure a disease by only inoculating 1/2 of the carriers.
My wife contacted HPV when she was 22 years old, just after college, and had to have the cancerous cells removed from the tip of her cervix by a freezing technique. And, yes, we didn’t meet until she was 26 so she didn’t get it from me!! (Sorry, folks, but most guys aren’t marrying virgins these days). If the guy who gave it to her (probably a college boyfriend) had this shot, she wouldn’t have gotten it (I’m sure neither of them knew he carried HPV).
It never was about the science, it was about using the identity politics making it a “women’s issue” to stifle dissent the first time around. And Texas wasn’t the only state that went for this so the Perry barbs are ill served.
Let’s see. Perry’s go ‘round with that idea with girls was considered by some as criminal...and now the CDC approves of it for boys.

Gardisil is like the flu shot. It will not protect against “every” form of HPV. There was a story on the news this morning that said that the flu shot is about 59% effective. A virus can mutate and change, therefore there can never be a vaccine that is 100% effective in preventing it. HPV is of course a “virus”! You can still get it whether you were vaccinated or not.
Why are we flogging this on our children! It’s nice that everybody assumes that our children are all going to be promiscuous. Maybe it’s because of the wonderful sex ed that goes on in schools! You reap what you sew I guess.
My kids are absolutely not going to get this vaccine!

It is already mandated in Obamacare for the girls. Now they want to go after the boys too.
I don’t get what the controversy about this is. HPV causes cancer. They can prevent it, perhaps even eradicate a disease, and people here are complaining-—mainly because this can be a sexually transmitted disease.
Excuse me if this sounds science fiction or way out there, but ? could it be possible ? that the government could have developed nano technology where they can put in vaccines where they can track people, and manipulate people’s minds and emotions ? .. yeah, I know, sounds way out there, but, nothing is of any surprise to what the government is capable of doing, even putting tracking technology in people in the form of nano technology.
The single/divorced bar scene is rampant with the HPV virus like fleas on dirty dawgs. IMO the CDC should be marketing this to the STD Friends.com community and not adolescent boys.
