You’re very naive. You and I and everyone here are not average voters. Go out and talk to the average Republican voters. I spoke to a guy this weekend who told me he was a lifelong Republican, Patriotic, son in military, yada yada yada. He told me that Cain speaks like a three year old. I am telling you this because the majority of people in this Country do not do their research like you and I. HE knew nothing about Cain’s background. He said he’s a PIZZA GUY. Yes, there’s time, but first impressions mean a lot. Please don’t yell at me. I like Cain. I’m telling you this from a political viewpoint, which is what Rove does. That is his job. Haley Barbour said something very profound, “THE MAIN THING IS TO KEEP THE MAIN THING THE MAIN THING.” And that is to get rid of Obama. Rove and people like Rove know the electorate, this is their job.

You can wish and you can dream, but reality always wins out. That all being said, our job is to get the facts out about our chosen candidate. What are you doing to that end, besides yelling on this website to a bunch of people who already agree with you? I am out every day talking to people and I hope everyone here does the same.

He is not a part of the establishment, in the club, it’s all about the Party crowd.

He is conservative and Rove is a statist/liberal. He wants Romney in the White House because he can be controlled, he will not rock the boat and leave the big gov. apparatus intact so the establishment can have their turn back in power again. The only thing missing from Karls attacks claims the barbarians are at the gate with pitchforks and torches. Piss on the elites of both parties—traders.

Cain cares more about the country than he does Rove and the establishment/elites and it scares the crap out of them because he plans on doing what he says which means they are out of power as much as the liberals in the democrat party.

Because so far he is not part of the Bilderberg establishment that has already chosen that idiot from Mass as the Republican candidate. It is like they think they can tell us what to do. Unfortunately with the media behind them they are! Witness the destruction of Sarah and Bachman. And anyone else Conservative. this will not end well. I see real trouble ahead.

They're afraid he'll lose giving 4 more of Obama.

They're afraid he'll win and be unable to move an agenda.

He's not a complete outsider but he's unconventional and that leaves many for & against him a bit nervous.

Your point is well taken that this is our future. The issues on Rove’s whiteboard are not deal breakers, just establishment sniping. If he knows specifically why Cain is not electable he can come out with it now. His loyalties are obviously for Romney who will not make any real change in the direction of this country which is currently at the precipice. His venom seems to always be directed at GOP outsiders who are the only ones that have an inclination to save what’s left of our republic with bold action. If Rove is right about these outsider patriots we are already doomed.

You mean the way they said Sarah Palin wasn’t presidential. Meaning he, like Sarah, is chosen by the people but not by the elites who think they should decide everything? Will they try to throw mud at him like they did Sarah? Yes, we know that’s coming.

But they are going to learn something. We know that they lie. We know that they smear. We don’t listen to them any more and that is what they fear.

The reality is that we have a one party system. The two wings of which are the Republican and Democrat wings. They agree on the overall plan (Socialism/Communism), they really only differ on the timetable. In other words, the Ds propose to burn down Washington today. The Rs oppose this plan, but have an alternate plan. They propose to burn down the city, but over three days.

I think the main reason why Rove is pro-Romney and anti-Cain is the fact that he believes that Romney can beat Obama and that Cain cannot beat Obama.

I disagree with Rove on this. Current polls aside, I actually think that Romney is more likely to produce poor turnout by conservatives, especially evangelicals--which poor turnout could prove to be disastrous.

I think Rove is the sort of naive theorist who has lost sight of Republicanism. With apologies to Bill Buckley, we need to put a lot more emphasis on choosing the best man for the office and somewhat less emphasis on ever- changing presumptions of electability.

Remember the old saying "May the best man win" ? Gosh, we need to toughen up and adopt that attitude as a kind of courageous prayer for our cause--and stop the panderers once and for all.

Frankly, we need to stop looking for so many compromisers--the likes of whom already have us sliding toward a cliff of socio-political disaster. Rove doesn't get that. By the same token, Bush didn't, either. (The Bush/Rove team was too concerned about pleasing everyone, and this became a matter of grand and stupid political manipulation--like the awful blunder of thinking that we could win Hispanics over to Republicanism forever if we just adopt insane amnesty policies.)

I think Anne Coulter is caught up in the error, too.

The Tea Party is right. We have to stop politics-as- usual. Anne is inadvertently endorsing liberal power politics--thinking that this sort of politics-as-usual is going to win this time (and must win this time). She's wrong, dead wrong.

Cain must win unless we find someone better at the last minute. My goodness, any Republican who can get elected as Governor of Massachusetts is a dangerous guy for our country..

Cain and Palin are both anti-establishment conservatives.

The establishment RINOS like Rove fear them, since outsiders like Sarah and Herman would likely reduce the establishment RINOs' power and influence.

Your post #45 says it as clearly as I've seen it stated.

Good POV. Good strategy.
