Here is why Rove, Hume and other pubbie establishment types hate Herman Cain, Michelle Bachman, Rick Santorum, Ron Paul and even Newt Gingrich. These folks all are common people, hard workers, free thinkers with great ideas and revolutionary changes. And......Cain is a free, unique Black Man, Bachman is naught but a dumb broad, Santorum is one step removed from an Italian immigrant, Ron Paul is the liberterian as Barry Goldwater was, and Newt Gingrich is so far ahead of them in brains and ideas!!! If this country is to ever change, both the Democrat & Republican establishments must go!!! They are entrenched and like all royality through the ages believe they and they only are entitled to rule us common folks. Well, this time , we ain’t going down!!! 2010 was the opening salvo!!! Fact is: no one is listening to the likes of Rove or Hume, etc.!!! They have no traction or sway in the emerging majority!!!

I’m not sure Rove is “terrified” of Cain. I think he just regards American electoral politics as a game, for which he (Rove) thinks he understands the optimal strategy. I think his attacks/criticisms of Cain are akin to an old school chessmaster sneering at a hypermodern opening because he genuinely thinks it won’t work.
“Gaffes” of the sort Cain has made, from a non-politician convey authenticity, and I think in Cain’s case, paradoxically, his waffling on abortion may actually have helped him. It’s not the opening Rove would play, so he’s down on it.
He is a strong black man that doesn’t really need a political party.
Ok, his skin color doesn’t have anything to do with it, but the second part has everything to do with it.

He doesn’t OWE them anything, so he’s not beholding to them. I’m looking for a candidate who can tell the establishment political parties, both of them, to ‘go pound sand’. Cain looks to fill that requirement for me.

Rove’s concerns mirror the concerns that Wall Street has. They both get antsy when faced with an “unknown”. A Cain presidency would mean change. Change really bothers those people who want the status quo. If today is like tomorrow, then making decisions is a lot easier even if they are not pleasant decisions.
Don’t care for Rove at all. At best, he’s entrenched in the political establishment and can’t brook the idea of citizen statesmen getting in on the action. At worst, Rove is a RINO.

As one who is firmly in the Reagan camp of anti-establishment Republicanism, he’s a threat to northeastern-country-club-Bush-big-government Republicanism.
On Cain and FNC:
Not just Rove but all those establishment types like Hume assume that only those like them, Romney for example, can win. Remember FNC kicked off Beck and replaced him with the Boring Five, Tantaros, Beckle and Perino for a daily snooze-fest,

Mildly confused statements issued by Herman Cain are nothing in comparison to the actual acts of extreme liberalism shown by Mitt Romney's Romneycare, gay marriage support and anti-2nd ammendment attitude.
The only basis for Rove pushing Cain out of the way is to make room for Romney and the political insider jobs that Karl Rove needs to make his mortgage payments.
