Yes, Newt has looked and sounded impressive during the debates - like the old 1994 Newt.
If he was consistently like that he would be the best choice by far.

But of course, I was refering to Newt's boneheaded statements and actions now and then over the last 10 years or so BEFORE "this early stage of the campaign".
