Steve Forbes is a Wall Street Republican. I respect him (as I do Perry) on general fiscal responsibility issues. But fiscal responsibility ends when they want to throw open the borders and so does my support.
Their views on open borders are as naive and dangerous as Ron Paul's views on national security.

That’s a reasonable response VM. I don’t care much for endorsements but I know some do. One could make the argument that because Whoraldo also endorsed Perry that means Perry appeals to pro-ILLEGAL alien liberals. But I realize Whoraldo is just a man as is Forbes.

Perry has never espoused an open border. There’s a big difference between being against building a fence down the Rio Grande and advocating an open border? Why don’t you take your beef to the Feds who are in charge of protecting the border. It’s not Perry’s job. It’s not the duty of Texas taxpayers to fund it either. Do you only blame Perry or do you include the other border governors?

I’m just having a hard time seeing Perry beat Obama - mr slick v mr tongue tied.
Needless to say - if Perry somehow wins the nomination then he has my vote.

If you do not put that in context..It is VERY misleading. "President Foxs vision for an open border is a vision I embrace,
as long as we demonstrate the will to address the obstacles to it. An open border means poverty has given way to opportunity, and Mexicos citizens do not feel compelled to cross the border to find that opportunity.
It means we have addressed pollution concerns, made substantial progress in stopping the spread of disease, and rid our crossings of illicit drug smuggling activity.
Clearly we have a long way to go in addressing those issues."
