That is an absolute contradiction. Do you see any of them trying to leave? Their families are here. In their minds they “belong” here. To pay in state tuition they must be in the process of rectifying their illegal status so they most definitely will one day be legal taxpayers. Since there is no indication the federal government is going to do a mass deportation, I would personally rather have them support the system from within than spawn another generation of baby creating maids and lawn workers for us to support.

I may be wrong, but my understandin of the immigration law is that if you are ever found to be in this country illegally, you can never obtain citizenship and even jeopardize chances of ever being allowed any sort of Visa... has that changed??
