I’ve always wondered — does marzipan come from Mars? I mean, does someone make it in a pan up there?

Wow.

Although I doubt that you don't know this, marzipan is raw, blanched almond paste, egg whites, cream of tartar, and sugar, dusted with confectioners' sugar. It's very easy to mold like modeling clay to make pretty little things like Harriet.

My late father-in-law was nuts about it, and he got some from me and Hubby for Christmas every year. I used to make it myself, and he always insisted that it was so much better than store bought, LOL! He was a really nice man.
