Milt tried to win Ted’s seante seat. I don’t think Bush tried to ‘win over Ted on anything that I can recall, except maybe appointing him the titular head of writing education spending bills.

How is Mitt Challenging Ted Kennedy for his senate seat worse than Bush working with Kennedy on the education bill? Bush also invited Kennedy over for the Superbowl. Bush Sr. gave Kennedy a lifetime achievement award while his son was president.
