Mitt Romney's Cyberwar on Rick Perry (an anti-Perry website show Romney is desperate)
National Journal ^ | October 18, 2011 | John Hudson

Posted on 10/18/2011 10:29:29 PM PDT by Sun

Mitt Romney is going negative on Rick Perry, and he's using one of the most tried-and-true methods: the Internet. Today, Romney for President Inc. launched (snip) an anti-Rick Perry website aimed at undermining the former Massachusetts governor's best-funded opponent. snip

The Washington Post shows other anti-Perry Web domain names are being gobbled up snip

While no one is claiming ownership of the anti-Perry domains, The Post's Philip Rucker and T.W. Farnam note that the same day the domain names were purchased, Romney's campaign bought $2,851 worth of domain names at GoDaddy.com, which was the same vendor that sold the anti-Perry domains. snip

Interestingly, there's another campaign that may be gobbling up anti-Perry domains as well: President Obama's.

Cain should be in IA or SC non stop to build a network of people. All reports show him on his book tour all over the western states right now and that he has no people in any of the early states. Perry does and for every dollar Cain is raising right now Mittens and Perry are doubling and tripling.

NH is going to Mittens. It is a lost cause. If Cain doesn’t get IA or SC, he is done. The Big Mo will be gone.

“I think the photo is on Drudge Report.”

I’ll try to find it.

Romney has more experience with debating for the president’s race, and I hope the others catch up with him. However, some of the others are better than Romney, but they just don’t get enough time.

“it was Romney getting in Perry’s space, trying to un-nerve him.

It just showed me that Perry had hit a nerve with Romney and Romney wanted to knock Perry off his game.”

It does sound bullyish to me, and I’m glad Romney was off his game.

Rush was saying that CNN would try to make all of the GOP candidates look bad. Do you think Anderson Cooper tried to do that?

I hope the primary voters see the real Romney.

Despite what the MSM, including FOX News, says the Primary voters are seeing the real Mittens. He can't break 25% in the polls no matter what he does. People don't trust anything this guy says. As far as I am concerned, he is our weakest candidate.

Mitt’s nowhere near my candidate, but what, do you Texans think men need to have that Perry/W puffed up strut?

I agree, which is why the lib media wants Romney. They probably know many conservatives will be disgusted and just stay home on Election Day (if it’s him).

Actually I don’t think it will be Romney, but we can’t take any chances, and must keep fighting.

I wouldn’t say he tried any more than usual. I actually think FOX has been the most guilty of that—Chris Wallace.

Cooper wasn’t as bad as I thought he would be...which isn’t saying much. :p

I think they need to have had back surgery and be wearing a brace to stand like that, like Perry had recently.

Then there was W. Ya sure it’s not just a West Texas thing?

(Maybe it’s what led to Perry needing the back surgery...)

I believe Cain never was really serious. This little spurt from the Florida Straw Poll surprised even him. Even so, Cain had time to get it together, but was nearly broke and consequently went on another book tour while all the other serious candidates got busy, rolled their sleeves up and started preparing for the State Primaries.

Cain is like the Hair, who dashed to a quick lead, then laid in the shade because he thought he had it won. The reality will be, that Cain will find his campaign in ruins in short order, mainly because he simply is an amateur and has no clue on how to go about a serious national Presidential campaign.

Your totally right. I like Cain a whole lot. Love his pro American optimism and history. I just don’t see how he goes up against two seasoned campaigners with big bank rolls with his current lackadaisical style. Plus he is good for a gaff every other day like the strange Gitmo comment today. One of these misspeaks is really going to hurt him one day.

A ten foot cage, arming each one of them with a box of fragmentation grenades would be great.

Funny, just yesterday, I was thinking to myself I wish Chris Wallace would leave Fox, or at least leave the Sunday show.

He is too biased, and with a liberal bent at that.

“I don’t know his money situation but I do believe his name is now known. “

yeah it will be especially after lots of TV ads attacking his 999 plan land. But he won’t be able to counter.

He’s a boutique candidate like Alan Keyes or Steve Forbes. We want to love them but they have no chance.
But at least people like Cain and want to believe in him. I don’t think anyone really likes Santorum or Bachmann and they should go.

I just watched the debate on the internet - I missed it earlier on TV. Cain did well and each one tried to tear apart his plan - but he explained it good enough that it was a bit obvious - these guys were just being political. Actually they all did good - but try as he may - Mitt comes off as the snake he is - and all he talks about what he will do but never says how. Every other candidates has explained their approach but him.

The beauty of all of this is I’m not routing for any of the candidates - so I’m not bias. However, w/I see Mitt’s face I see him as the snake he is - he even talks like a conman - all sweet w/no substance. The rest all did very well. Paul, of course, I don’t count.

Weird, never watched a debate without routing for one particular candidate and hoping the rest fail. I like it this way.

I like Sanatorium - not MB. I noticed tonight how she popped in to divert attention when Mitt was in trouble. Did you happen to hear my scream through the www? I felt all along she is Mitt’s buffer - it’s not the first time Michelle Buffer proved it, IMO.

Cain is like the Hair

I disagree vehemently with that characterization, Cain has absolutely NOTHING in common with former Senator John Edwards.

Perhaps you're thinking of some other 'Hair'?
