“With out Santorum, no one would have started bashing Mittens. You should be happy that he was there tonight to start this slug fest. It was about time Mittens got knocked hard and Rick started it with gusto.”

Gotta admit, I’m not the biggest Santorum fan, but I’ll give credit where it is due. SOMEONE needed to draw a little blood on Mitt, and Santorum and Perry both did a nice job of that tonight.

“Americans know about faith, and the person they’ve lost faith in is Barack Obama.” OUCH - that hurt PERRY, not Obama.

How does that hurt Perry?

Because the constitution did prohibit a direct tax on property, which the Supreme Court ruled applied to income tax in Pollack v Farmers’ Loan and Trust.

This was the best debate I’ve seen. The moment when Perry attacked Romney was priceless. I thought Romney was going to blow a fuse. His face was red as blood and he got tongue tied lol. I thought Herman Cain stood his ground well. They all were pounding on his 9-9-9 plan and they are being dishonest if they have studied his plan. There is no VAT tax as they claimed. The more I study it the better it looks. It gets all hidden taxes out into the open. All the candidates did well tonight. Great debate.

Cain has a presence. He does not get flustered. He admits his faults. He stands by his values. He’s fervent about his beliefs.

He’s a good manager. He will have no issue with bringing in a team to help him in his weak areas. He’s a proven manager. Etc, etc, etc.

I like him...alot.

I didn’t even notice what she was wearing. I was too distracted by the shrillness.

He didn’t have to debate Bill White who didn’t have a snowball’s chance in the hot place. So why should he give the guy a forum?

Actually I think it was a brilliant move. Perry had nothing to gain from debating him and could only lose. Very savvy move by Perry's campaign last year.

Debate winners based on who helped, who hurt.

Newt - clear winner again. Will add a point or two. No more money.
Santorum - showed up, took his shots, will add a point or two, will stay in longer. Still whiny.
Perry - strongest performance, will add a point or two, money will continue to his campaign.
Cain - neutral, will lose a point or two. 999 needs to go.
Bachmann- neutral, shrill, stay the same, money the same.
Paul - who the hell knows, stays the same, money will continue.
Huntsman - lost, stays the same, probably improved his tan.

A Noot presidency will accomplish the same ultimate socialist America as an Obama presidency, but done more quietly. If you don’t understand that fact, you should not be voting

Well elections are about comparative choices and discerning differences. Anyone that sees no difference between Newt Gingrich and Barack Obama is not capable of discerning differences and perhaps should not be voting.

Gergen is right about that ... the bickering diminishes them ...but then turns it in Mitt’s favor??? Sorry, MITT was one of the ones doing the bickering!!

Cain was the ONLY one who rose above it all and didn’t act like a total NUT.

CNN showing several shots of Cain after the debate. I think they know who’s ahead.
