So, you support Cain, and as a supporter you are selling him by claiming he always tells the truth first, and then lies when he thinks the truth is hurting him with voters?
I’d hate to see what someone who Opposes Cain would say about him that would be worse than your support.
Note that I have not called him a liar, nor have most of his detractors. Most have said that he speaks off the cuff without thinking, and then has to apologize a lot when he realises he said something stupid.
But you, a supporter, are claiming that his stupid statements are in fact what he believes, and later he lies about it.
“But you, a supporter, are claiming that his stupid statements are in fact what he believes, and later he lies about it.”
I would change the word “stupid” to “initial”. From there he’s made his point, and it becomes time to do what EVERY politician does (except Alan Keyes, and you can where that got him). Same with Perry...he knows full-well that his initial comment of “heartless” regarding Dream Act opponents is EXACTLY what he thinks...but then he’s also forced to try to take it back (of course he looks at Dream Act opponents as heartless...that’s been the way he’s governed here in Texas for a decade). I also understand why Perry couldn’t let his initial remark stand.
The big difference is that the base believes both initial comments, but agrees with Cain.
I’m surprised you know so little about how politics works in the real word (or did you work for Keyes...LOL).
