I thought he was joking about the fence being electric but was serious about there being a fence. But now you say he was serious about an electrified fence but just joking on it being lethal. Clear as mud.

All I did was actually read the story. Can't account for confusing headlines or expectations.
He’s not serious about the fence. He just thinks he is serious, because he hasn’t really looked at the border enough to understand that a full-border fence is unworkable.
But when he figures it out, he’ll apologize for saying he would build the fence, or he’ll say it was a joke, or say that he never said he would build a full fence, or that we don’t understand what he meant by full.
He’s a talk show host, so he knows all sorts of ways to say things. But still, since we can’t have Rush Limbaugh for President.....
