And yet the same repubs would have to breathe and drink that same dirty air and dirty water.
Another example that the DNC/Socialists lack logic and intellect.
Sure keeps pounding the hiring of UNION workers, doesn’t he???
Wonder how much of the money he will retire on is UNION $$$$?
Ebonics???
FEWER people with health insurance. We want FEWER people with health insurance. Smartest president ever, my keister.
You are absolutely correct, and on all points. I (thankfully), have had pretty extensive medical training and I refuse to go to the hospital unless it is an emergency—of EPIC proportions. I managed a business (restaurant) a few years back, and we had a kid who cut himself. The owner’s wife (LPN) took a look at it and dressed the wound, and then said it would be ok, but told him to ask his parents if he should go to the hospital (sincehe was only 17). His mother (AN RN!) looked at it, and said it would be fine but her husband (the boy’s step-father) insisted that he go to the hospital ER because it wouldn’t cost anything. They gave him a few courtesy stitches and billed us in the thousands of dollars, IIRC, for a cut that an LPN and an RN had already said would be fine. That is the exact mentality that drives up the cost of healthcare (”It’s free, anyway.”) The fact is that it’s not free, and someone always pays, whether its in the socialized collection phase, or socialized distribution phase. There’s no free lunch, and the sooner people get that through their thick skulls, the sooner they’ll be able to be weened off the socialism.
I had a friend one time who worked for a lawyer (personal injury, ironically). She got into a car accident by running into a light pole, and I’ll never forget the day she lamented that the worst part of her accident (which required a lot of physical therapy, etc.) was that because it was her own fault, and her own insurance was paying, she had no one to sue! She was from California though, lol, there it’s ingrained from birth.
There are HUNDREDS of state police, sheriff and local police cars and department of transportation, EMT and fire trucks stretching for maybe 35 miles

Just look at all the Overtime he is generating, he is fulfilling another promise. s/s/s/s/
Now we have the most people without Health Insurance ever over 50 Million.
Democrats have controlled California for years and most stringent Air Pollution Laws in the Country and yet the worst city in the US , LA?
Conservatives want Socialists to quit pretending humanity is the scourge of the planet!
Liberals use the EPA to impose:
- shuttering of industry,
- closure of farmland,
- destruction of energy production, including solar and wind!
- invention of “endangered species” that are neither species nor endangered
- invention of “wetlands” for every puddle last 30 minutes after a rain storm.
- add you notes here:
Agreed. I have only once in my adult life chosen to carry dental insurance. When I saw what it did and did not cover, I figured it wasn’t really worth the cost. true “Insurance” is about the mitigation of risk, in the sense of dental insurance, for example, you may have the risk of paying for a crown, etc. However, if the costs of the service you anticipate you might need is close to the cost of the insurance premium you are sure to pay (and you usually have a co-pay, or deductible anyway), you may only save a small fraction of the cost, and that’s only IF you actually need the service. I used to carry a no deductible plan on my vehicular insurance. It only cost me about 200 or so more per year, but I decided that unless I got into an accident on average every four years or more, then, a $1000 deductible actually saves money. If I were accident prone, then I would probably carry the no deductible. That would probably make me even less of a careful driver, but this way I know that in an accident, I’m going to have to pay, so I ensure that I drive with precision. I do, in fact know of many people (I saw them often years ago while in college) of the mentality that they can drive however they please because “It’ll get paid for anyway, I’m covered, and will get a new car.” Sadly, those very people don’t have to pay the gender premium, either.
“GOP wants dirtier air, dirtier water, less people with health insurance”
No. We just want a different President.
Blah, blah, blah. Campaign speech. Blah, blah, blah.

I don’t think you understand. Why, when the ‘assembled goons’, (paid??) started chanting “4 more years! 4 more years!” etc he told them ‘Thanks for the 4 more years encouragement, BUT I am just concerned with the next 13 months”.
See, that proves it isn’t/wasn’t a campaign speech.
In reality he has been campaigning non-stop since being ‘selected’ for Senate.
You know he’s right - people like us don’t drink water or breath air...
Yeah, right . . . we want people to eat out of garbage cans, lose their jobs, and be unable to get doctors' care.
What a jackass . . . but his assembled multitude of losers, asshats, mind-numbed robots, hippies, moronic Hollyweirdos, and unwed Maury Povich all stars will believe the Kenyan born illegal alien.
I just can't wait to get this foreigner and his porcine wife the hell out of our White House!
I admire your way with words.
Obama’s correct on the air and water. We need to get our economic machine going again and that will generate some dirt but so what. Do we spend our money cleaning our houses when we’re unemployed?
I’m a type 1 diabetic and self-pay for meds. It drives me nuts that no one even knows what drugs cost. Certainly not the docs. I moved to a new town two years ago, and the first time I bought insulin here, even the pharmacist was shocked at how much it cost. No one has any incentive to keep prices down, because no one has any incentive to shop by price.
The worst part though, is not that people literally think stuff is free, but worse, they think they’ve already paid for it through their premiums, so they might as well grab all they can, not seeing that that’s what raises their (and everyone else’s) premiums. It’s a system designed to collapse.
I agree with everything you’ve said. I just wanted to clarify that I may have not been clear when I said “They think it’s free.” You said “they think theyve already paid for it through their premiums, so they might as well grab all they can...” that better reflects what I meant to say. It’s kind of like going to an “all you can eat” buffet. Some people go, and eat what they normally would, but choose from the variety, and some think that if they stuff themselves to the maximum possible quantity of food, they’ll get the best deal. What they fail to understand is that if everyone (or even a large percentge) does that, the buffet (or health care system) will collapse. Because you’ll get a combination of the following (food/healthcare, same analogy): You’ll either get an increase in cost, get less food, get worse food, or the business will go out of business (Or a combination of all 4). This is precisely what is happening with healthcare. As more and more “insurance” (SUBSIDY!) abusers use the services at a maximum leverage, the costs go up, the healcare gets rationed, and employers quit providing the high cost subsidy. As this happens, and Obamacare forces the employers to keep providing or start providing the subsidy, more people will lose jobs, or not get them in the first place. The “All you can eat” mentality has firmly been fixed into the last 3 generations. It’s time to root it out, people can do as they please with their money, but when government is intertwined with, and dominating, the industry, that’s beyond crossing the line.
If that's his plan, taxes are too high to begin with.
I figured that “they think it’s free” was just an abbreviated version of reality. I do that all the time, because eventually, ya gotta stop typing/talking!
What I forgot to mention is that, as bad as the current system is, it’s many times better — in terms of cost, freedom of choice and quality of care — than the “cure” 0bama and the other libs want to foist on us.
