Now, you can live in your world where the Second Amendment means what you and I think it means or you can live in the REAL WORLD where the meaning is watered down, restricted and limited.
I don't like it, but I support whatever is necessary that moves the meaning in my direction.

You are half right, I live in surreal California.
FYI - My neighbor was killed with a KNIFE in an unsolved robbery. If she had tried, she most likely would NOT have been granted a gun permit in Sacramento County. So, carrying a self defense permit across state lines is praticaly moot for us.
Allowing LEOs the power to grant or deny self defense permits is the issue. IMO, the NRA fighting to ensure LEO-issued self defense permits are valid across state lines is already a losing argument.
