No, but I want to save the Republic and the 47% of Americans that pay no Federal Income taxes now are not going to vote for a guy who says he is going to make them pay it. They don't understand that they pay them and don't know it and Obama and the Left is going to do everything they can to make sure that there is too much noise for them to figure it out. We have to win this election or we are screwed and an inexperienced man saying I am going to tax everyone is not going to win against a guy saying he is going to give you everything.
This Nation is at a tipping point, can you imagine what Obama will do when he has four years without worrying about getting elected again.
Falling for the media meme doesnt help anyone who considers themselves conservative. Prices for all will necessarily drop with Cains plan. Working against it is akin to cutting ones own throat. Cains plan puts those who now vote for Demecrats in a position where they also will not want to increase tax burdens. It puts those who are now takers into a position where they can no longer just take from the producers. This may well be the last chance we get to change who pays and who takes in this country.
If his Party doesn't control Congress, then not much...
Instead of giving up on reaching those voters, why don’t we focus our energies on finding ways to explain 999 and bring people on board?
As much as I agree with you on the stakes of this election, I reach an opposition conclusion. In my view, we simply cannot afford to set out to win by ratcheting back the conservative momentum we have for major tax reform.
Just defeating Obama is not good enough to save our country (although, regardless, it’s necessary to defeat him in every way, shape and form). Electing Obama-lite isn’t good enough this time.
It really is time to go for broke, and that starts with us. We all have ways we can counter the ignorance that is out there. Hell’s Bells, spend a hour a day on news sites leaving civil, cogent comments — they will stand out in all the trash and may reach somebody!
Point being: let’s not roll over before the gun has even gone off.
