Jumping back in briefly to give an amen to Miss Marple.

She is lucky she has not been on some of the Perry/Cain theads this week, as I was stupid enough to do.

I pray I can bring myself to avoid them in the future. It will all shake out eventually and then we’ll have to bite the bullet and go all out for whoever the Republicans nominate.

That will be hard for some people to do when they’ve devoted all their energy recently to trashing one of our own candidates.

How do you think Freepers on the other side feels when you posts this comment about Cain?

Was he pimping for Romney?

From your Post #37 this thread.

As I have suggested from the moment he entered the campaign to the Perry Camp. Tell us why we should be FOR Perry don't just trash talk everyone else.

As long as the Perry camp insists on running an ad homine attack campaign at everyone else, people are going to respond in kind.

There's a difference to me between "trashing" a candidate and learning as much as possible about our candidates' exploitable weaknesses now before it's too late. As Sarah Palin notes, Perry has a crony capitalism record in TX which Dem ads would feature prominently as soon as Reps try to play the Solyndra-GE-GM cards. That's too potent an issue to forfeit or counter with a weasely, "Yes, but your guy is worse."

Hello to two ladies I have respected and enjoyed various levels of communication over the years. Greetings to everyone else this Lord’s Day.

I have LONG avoided getting involved in those “blood & guts” threads. I am on many candidate pings lists. I read the article ... maybe a few comments and I see the venom usually very early.

It rather reminds me of way back when in grade school, the winner of the shouting match was the one who was loudest, rudest and in general a bully.

Most of us with 3 grey matter brain cells to rub together do NOT fall into that.

I am registered as a R. I have many libertarian (note small “L”) leanings and have been active with the tea party.

I stand for a candidate who will be strong on family values; strong on protecting INNOCENT life, strong on upholding AND enforcing the constitution and the laws of the states, strong on protecting mans right to worship without harassment, strong on the right to bear arms, strong on government keeping out of our homes, businesses, bedrooms and schools, strong on reducing the waste and worthless programs in governments, strong on exceptionalism, strong on getting rid of the czars, EPA, UN involvement, strengthening not weakening the military, strong on revamping homeland security and developing a system to secure borders and deport the illegals located and imprison the ones found in illegal activities.. Gitmo comes to mind. A candidate who will not be involved in voter fraud, public lies and manipulation.

I dont care if he/she has political background but they must have the good mind to have a cabinet and other advisers who have experience and know how in the conservative manner.

To compare Cain with Bambi is ridiculous. One loves the country and the other despises it while milking it for his own needs at every turn

I dont want an elected official who wants to make friends, be well liked and compromise their way to disaster.

I will vote for ANY candidate which best has these features. I dont care if they have a D or R after their name. Since I have been involved in politics I have yet to see one with a D and many of the R’s dont carry the whole basket.

The religion is important to me in this way. A deist is desired. They will be able to follow the mentality of military, Constitution etc. Whether that deist calls themselves Christian, Mormon, Jewish etc is secondary. I would prefer a strong Christian with values I find are mine.

Personality is important. Most of us fell in love with Sarah for that reason. Perry might not do well in debates but at the end his personality and ruggedness would be a draw to many.

ANY of the candidates now declared would be a vast improvement. I will vote in general election for any man or woman on our slate.

The common goal as many have pointed out is to rid our country of the Marxist who is bent on destroying our way of life. It may already be too late. I am in survivalist mode right now mentally & starting physically

I bid greetings to all & respect your good minds.. I sometimes however do not like the attacks you do on our FR membership who is also seeking good for the country. Your fellow FReepers are NOT the enemy.

Why do you think this is the ONLY thread I post on? I refuse to get into those destructive arguments, which I am now coming close to with mewzilla!
