The goal of the establishment RINO is to gain control of political power, but not to otherwise rock the boat. The boat continues taking on water and listing sharper to port every time the left takes over, but the unprincipled RINOs do absolutely nothing to right her when they get a chance.

Very well put. RINO's do nothing to advance the conservative cause. They are part the establishment who work hand-in-hand with the Democrats in a gentlemen's agreement to trade power every now and then while behind the scenes, they ensure that nothing really changes.

Many years ago, Ronald Reagan stated that he did not leave the Democratic Party - but that the Democratic party left him. I feel that I am very close to making such a statement myself, only about the Republican Party due to the RINOs that currently control it.

In fact, I predict that if Romney does somehow get the nomination, that the Tea Party conservatives will have no choice but to break from the Republicans and start our own party. Sarah Palin may have dropped a hint when she recently changed her Facebook profile from "Republican" to "Conservative."

In the meantime, I hold out hope that the Tea Party can still gain control of the Republican Party because that is our best hope to defeat Obama this coming year.

Sam, if Romney should squeak out the nomination through our fire wall primary, I just don’t see how he can first of all, but say he does, can a third party be formed during the general election cycle, or are we stuck with write-in?

If only a general election write-in is possible, we should start a campaign against Romney NOW, by promoting a huge write-in campaign. ???
