Now the remaining concern is WTF are we doing involving our soldiers in a civil war in Uganda?
My repost from Rush’s thread today in response to a question of what Rush said:
Zero announced the dispatch of US armed troops to be advisors to Uganda to seek out the LRA and remove them from the field. Rush made an ill-advised comment about this being a Christian group fighting Muslims in Sudan, implying that there was a motive on Zero’s part to take sides Christian vs. Muslim (at least that is how I took it, though he did not expressly say that).
We can debate Zero’s actions forever, but people need to understand the facts about this poor impoverished nation, and its connection to Rwanda and the Slaughter of over one million Rwandans during the Clinton Administration.
Joseph Kony has been around causing trouble for many years, and he “recruits” by kidnapping children and making them join his army. They are not of an ideology except for what Kony convinces them, a la Jim Jones. They profess Christianity to gain support from Christians, and they sometimes hoodwink people into believing they should be su8pported because they call themselves Christian.
They are not. They are superstitious animists, pagans, and Christians whose sole unifying factor is obedience to Kony, who claims to be a savior of some sort.
The world would be better off without him, but there are ways to do it that are not going to bring on warfare in Uganda which will kill thousands of defenseless and innocent Ugandans.
You are not alone in not knowing of them. No press covers the activities of Central Africa and news rarely gets out that accurately depicts the plight of those people who olive there. No one wants to talk about the genocide that killed so many. As an aside, in one town, the French herded over 30,000 people to a location stating that they would be protected from the genocidaires, and then left. They came with machetes and took their time killing every last one, while the people cried out for the West to come and save them.
Clinton claimed not to know until after the fact, but I do not believe him. The world let this happen, because no one cares about the lives of Central Africans.
There bodies are still there, in situ, covered only by lime, as a reminder to those who have eyes to see.
Now, Obama is re-unleashing forces that he cannot or will not be able to control, and those people will suffer for it. May God damn him for what he is doing.
