Cain needs to scrap the national sales tax part of his plan.

***

A national sales tax turns ...

1) illegal aliens
2) welfare recipients
3) Section 8 people with BMWs
4) people who pay zero income tax

... into taxPAYERS. The national income tax will likewise turn millions of other Americans into taxPAYERS.

Everybody has skin in the game. No more mobs clamoring for goodies, or tax increases on the rich.

Absolutely not. That is the only way to get rid of the job killing taxes and to lower the corp. tax to the 9% which is what will drive the economy.

That's what I've been saying...!! Instead of 9-9-9, why not just 9-9, or 9-12, or whatever would make sense for the flat tax. The Russians seem to do OK with a 15% flat tax, but I don't know the rest of their tax structure.e.g., capital gains, etc.

We could simply have a flat 9% corporate, ??% flat tax, do away with capital gains, payroll taxes, death taxes.....look out!!

I agree. The national sales tax would increase on gasoline, energy, it would be on food and medicine, and all deductions would be eliminated on income tax. It will severely hurt the elderly on fixed incomes and the poor. These taxes would be on top of state, and local taxes. This is a bad idea as far as I am concerned.
