“Are we supposed to believe the lamestream media - in an on-line junk site pretending to be the Atlantic, a leftist propaganda site - in certain special cases?”

Some people have been known to lift material from the Southern Poverty Law Center when it suits their aganda.

Not I, you have me mixed up with someone else. Although you did refer to them, in this thread
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2766012/posts?page=22#22

I source my material and do my own homework to show that the Board members of NumbersUSA advocate abortion, start Planned Parenthood chapters, belong to Zero Population Growth, found Earth Day, tell the elderly that they should die, and are advocates of sustainability and the environment.

FAIR, NumbersUSA.org, NumbersUSA.com, and the Center for Immigration Studies: Advocates for Eugenics
FAIR and NumbersUSA were founded and are or have been headed by rabid abortion and eugenics proponents who write books and journal articles and spend millions in the name of population control – “zero population growth” - by whatever means necessary for “sustainability” and the “environment.”
NumbersUSA , FAIR and CIS share a common founder. The groups share advisers and board members, and family names recur on the lists. Not everyone in leadership positions at these organizations is a eugenicist, but there are members on each Board who actively promote abortion and “zero population growth.” These are definite associations with
They were all founded by James Tanton, who also founded and funded several chapters of Planned Parenthood. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Tanton
John Tanton served on the board of Planned Parenthood, helped start many local PP organizations, served as chair of the Population Committee of the Sierra Club, was active in Zero Population Group, counted eugenicists Garrett Hardin and Paul Ehrlich as friends, and helped start “Earth Day.”
http://www.newcomm.org/images/stories/tanton%20paper%20on%20passive%20eugenics.pdf
Here’s his obituary for Garrett Hardin, one of the early Directors of FAIR, who advocate for abortion and euthanasia to control population growth in order to protect the environment:

http://www.nytimes.com/2003/10/28/science/28HARD.html

The nest of abortionists and eugenicists at FAIR and NumbersUSA includes not only Tanton, but also Paul Ehrlich (”The Population Bomb”) and Colorado’s former Governor Richard Lamm (who is famous for his claim that the elderly have a duty to die) and various other pro-aborts, Earth-First, and eugenicists like Sarah Gamble Epstein, Susan Hull and Garrett Hardin.

BTW, There are actually 2 websites for NumbersUSA: numbersusa.com and numbersusa.org

The .com lists Richard Lamm as a supporter:
https://www.numbersusa.com/content/about-us/supporters.html-0
Then, on .org, there’s Don Weeden, on the Board of Directors of NumbersUSA http://www.numbersusa.org/about/directors and founder of “Apply the Brakes,” who says,

http://www.applythebrakes.com/learnmore.asp
“Reproduction: After a period of slow growth during the years of the Great Depression and World War II, U.S. population started booming due to a expansion in the fertility rate to about three and a half births per woman. The environmental movement of the day called for reduction in fertility and as a result of many factors, the rate had fallen off to below replacement level of 1.7 births per woman by the time of the first Earth Day in 1970. Our current fertility rate of 2.1 is at replacement level, but is still 50% higher than the 1.4 rate of the developed nations of Europe and Japan. The U.S. Congress does not seek voluntary reduction in fertility. To the contrary, it supports incentives for larger family size.”
and
http://www.applythebrakes.com/leader_detail.asp?id=7
“What The Country Really Needs.....
What the country really needs is a population stabilization policy, guided by critical thinking and analysis. This policy should include efforts to significantly reduce the country’s fertility rate (closer to the European average of 1.4 children). We could start by proactively addressing our relatively high number of unintended pregnancies. Additionally, U.S. population stabilization efforts should be coupled with big increases in foreign aid, including family planning, and energetic campaigns to - at the minimum - halve U.S. per capita consumption as soon as possible.”

Epstein is on the BOD of Pathfinders International, which her father, Clarence Gamble, started. That group fought the Mexico City rule of Reagan and the Bush’s and in doing so, advocates for international abortions.

There’s also Diana Hull, PhD, the President of Californians for Population Stabilization. http://www.capsweb.org/ Hull praised Garrett Hardin for his contribution in the form of Or his challenge to that “intuitive ideal” about the sanctity of life - when we should be “sanctifying” sustainability - which is the only policy that can give us a future.

NumbersUSA itself refers to Earth Day, Sierra Club, sustainability, human-caused global warming, and environmentalism as support for its position on zero population growth,

Roy Beck, the Executive Director of NumbersUSA, focuses on the environment and willingness to practice “Family planning” and “planned parenthood” by religious organizations

Roy Beck also writes position papers published by the Centers for Immigration Studies - another Tanton org. - decrying urban sprawl and calling for population control.
