Newt Gingrich: Gingrich has lived full-time in a McLean, Virginia, home outside of D.C. that he and his wife, Callista, bought in May of 2000

Also, what he said was is that Cain's business tax is different than the usual business tax (duh) and has some elements of a VAT tax.
Nice try.
Detail, details. ;>)
I’d be more than happy to help him move.
So you are calling the 9% corporate tax a sales tax on wages? Is that right?
A corporate tax is generally assumed to be on the profits made by a company. Profits are considered to be gross revenues minus gross expenses. One of the expenses has always been wages. I agree with that. I think wages are a business expense.
Instead, Cain is viewing profit as including wages/benefits. I guess he could be thinking that it’s discretionary money...especially in terms of huge executive bonuses...but I don’t see how a company can thrive without workers. Do you?
It would definitely penalize a company for over-hiring.
It would also cause very few companies to unionize with their far higher wages.
Where can we get that button?
Exactly! This is a good thing. They've taken their masks off, we've taken our gloves off, and it's time to rumble.
Not sure why anyone would decline. It goes a long way toward becoming actual POTUS after your guy leaves office.
Fits the outsider/insider ticket that I believe will win.
I think we can agree to disagree. Whoever your candidate is, (if it’s not Romney or Huntsman) I will support enthusiastically against Zero. No circular firing squad, OK?
The government could use Ted Baxter’s head for wind tunnel testing. :-)
One of the things that would make me giggle like a school girl would be to see that smug, self-satisfied smirk wiped off his ugly mug when Cain crushes Romney. I’m petty like that.
We need Perry to stay in the race as he is taking votes away from Romney. Most of his support is likely not going to go to a conservative so we need him in there as long as possible to split the RINO vote.
Me too. :)
Additionally, the 12th Amendment says that the electors of a given state cannot cast their votes to more than one person in their state. So it would apparently only apply to the one state - the other 49 states would be able to vote for the two candidates even if they are from the same state, just so long as it is not their state.
That said, it's probably not a good idea to run two people from the same state because it could make the difference in the election, depending on how many electoral votes that state has.
Having the other candidates gang up on him plus the arrows coming at him from the State controlled media is going to be a good thing for Herman Cain.
<><><><><
Yes, we can see how good it has been for the other erstwhile candidates who have had the laser pointed at them. Apparently kept (what some believe was a sure winner) out of the race entirely (no, not Trump), has killed another frontrunner (Perry), and yet somehow you see this as a good thing for Cain.
Not quite sure I understand your calculus.
One strategy:
“I may not know all there is to know about any of these candidates. But if the MSM is ganging up on Cain, then that’s who I’m voting for. They must be terrified of him. And if so, then that’s who we need.”
Hmmmm. Interesting strategy! Wait for the MSM to start picking on a candidate (Cain) vs. pumping a candidate (Romney), and vote for that candidate.
Will the first Manchurian Candidate please stand up.
And he'll have an entire cabinet of experienced politicians and govt servants who can explain anything he needs to know about how the elephantine govt works.
Good Lord, the ‘sales tax is a VAT’ meme didn’t work, so now the corporate tax is a VAT. In the sense that it is a hidden tax, embedded in each product we buy, and passed on by each company, the corporate income tax has always been a VAT, since corporations don’t pay taxes. At most, this is a difference in what expenses are tax deductible. Most likely, it’s a matter of fleshing out the details. Bruce Bartlett hates the idea of a national sales tax. No surprise he would be critical.
Ok, thats DAMN funnie!
I might just have to put that on my car... lol The same one I put my Honey Badger vanity plates on lol....
The momentum is unstoppable now, and its just gonna keep rollin. People ahve beensearching for another person to vote for other than Romney, and Cain is the man!
