Nothing seems to be working for this idiot and as the days go by he finds himself surrounded by more idiots and more trouble.

My guess is the whole Iranian assassination plot was made up to deflect attention. Problem there is he’s to chicken shxt to do anything about it anyway.

Folks, if you go to NewYorkPost.com and type in the name Arthur Herman, his article will come up. I would comment on it, but.....the man says it all. Just two items for your info: Of the totall number of prisoners of war taken prisoner by the Japanese only 25% were returned living at the time of the Japanese surrender. And.....the invasion of Japan by allied forces would have sustained and estimated 500,000 to 1,000, 000 American deaths. Obama knows nothing of the sacrifice and suffering of millions because of the Japanese invasions in the Far East!!! Actually Obama knows nothing of American or World history!!! Even the current leaders of Japan think he is not wrapped too tight!!!

The Japanese started it, we finished it, end of story.
The Japanese have not, to my knowledge, ever apologized for the “Rape of Nanking”, the Bataan Death March, or any of their other death marches or mistreatment of Civian and Military prisoners, nor have they said “Sorry” for Pearl Harbor.
The POTUS is an embarassment, someone needs to apologize for HIM!

Nothing works for this idiot because his world-view is not based on reality. I may believe I can fly like Peter Pan, but when I jump off that building, reality will hit.

Obama has the narrowest of outlooks - that of an urban, American-leftist dilettante.

if you read stories of POW's in Japanese prison camps, it was clear Japan was getting ready to execute all US prisoners when the bombs were dropped - there are thousands that survived only because of the sudden surrender by Japan. It is obvious that Obama is still obsessed with an anti-nuclear, circa-1982 protestor mindset. The man is an out-of-date joke.

I may get flamed for this, but here goes.

We did the Japanese a favor. Hear me out.

The Japanese were ready to defend their country to the last man, woman, and child. They proved it throughout the war. Look at what the civilians did on Saipan. Mothers throwing their babies off a cliff and jumping after them to get away from the Americans.

For us to conquer Japan would have been the virtual extinction of the Japanese race.

So dropping the bombs and shocking them into surrendering was really a humane act.

"First, we have a Japanese government with a stronger sense of America’s interests, and our honor and self respect, than our own president -- a president who sought to apologize for using a weapon that ended the most violent and brutal war in history.

A president who is either ignorant or blind to the fact that if we hadn’t used the bomb and had been forced to invade Japan instead, at least 2 million Japanese would have died in a full-scale invasion of Japan, instead of the 300,000 killed at Hiroshima and Nagasaki -- not to mention the 1 million US casualties that the War Department and Joint Chiefs of Staff calculated would come in that assault."

FROM THE ARTICLE:
“And a president who thinks that such groveling is the way to build good relations with an Asian ally — when a far better way passed him right by.

That came last March, after the worst disaster to hit Japan since the Second World War. The biggest earthquake in the country’s history and follow-up tsunami left 28,000 Japanese killed or missing, triggered a near-disastrous nuclear accident and shattered its economy. Japan was left feeling stunned and helpless and alone, as it contemplated the worst destruction since Hiroshima.

This was the moment when our president should have ordered up Air Force One and flown out to Tokyo, in order to tour the damage with the US media and to reassure the Japanese people that America stood shoulder to shoulder with our 50-year Asian ally. Then he could have offered immediate help in getting US companies involved in the reconstruction of Japan, which will be going on for years — a not-to-be-missed opportunity to help our economy, as well as Japan’s.

But Obama largely ignored the disaster, and went to a conference in Rio de Janeiro, instead —...”

What a POS for a president. At the time I remember thinking that there was no way in hell President Bush would have ignored our friends the way this POS did. On a side note: It's interesting that in addition to their self-interests, the Japanese refused the apology to keep us, as a nation, from embarrassment. The marxist has successfully alienated or tried to alienate our allies all the while groveling to the barbarians.

I think that the 1 million casualty figure was just for Operation Olympic, the invasion of Honshu, in November, 1945. The follow on invasion of the main island (Operation Coronet) scheduled for Spring, 1946, would have been substantially higher.

Yeah, because the Japanese offended Obama by not letting him do what he wanted.

Meanwhile, as the article notes, an incalculable opportunity to boost our economy while standing alongside a long time ally went to total waste.

All because the petulant 2 year old was offended.
