I have a question for everyone on the 9-9-9 plan....

If there is no national sales tax on used goods, what will that do to the manufacturing base? Good for used car lots, and a disaster for new car sales? Used homes versus new homes? Rent versus buy?

Just curious as to what people think....

I think Cain’s 9-9-9 plan would be a total disaster, and how any Freeper can be backing it is beyond me. There would be no new construction, no new anything; everyone would have to buy used goods to avoid the high taxes on commodities. And, Cain wouldn’t be in office more than 4 years, especially if his 9-9-9 plan went into actual effect. After 4 years any new Prez or Congress could take his 9% new sales tax and jack it up to 20% if they felt so inclined. Geez, people, use your heads.

do you not understand that the prices for all those new items will be much cheaper because the hidden taxes already built into the price you pay won’t be there anymore?
