YES! They should print it out. The whole 11 years worth! Great reading !(nevermind the spelling.) I encourage them also!

Well Good! I guess we are finally in agreement on something. I really hope that other freepers do that! The strange thing is that if they were to print out your posting history they will find that you have posted far far more in the last 2 days on your extreme hatred of Herman Cain than the total posted in any of the previous 11 years since your first post on February 09, 2000 about baseball player John Rocker.

Your posts in the last two days bear no resemblance to the thoughtful comments and articles of interest to fellow freepers made in years past. The contrast is so great that there is almost no chance that you are actually the same person. The writing style has almost no resemblance. I am fairly certain that the original Huck's account has been hijacked. This type of sad thing happens here occasionally. I will continue to follow your posts. Fellow Freepers take a look for your self.

Nope. It's me. I remember the John Rocker stuff. I thought he was a dope. Still do.

Man, I would love to re-read all the Civil War threads from years past. I've definitely evolved philosophically over the years, in large part from all the debating and discussion here. Back in those days, I was a Madisonian. Now I'm quite the opposite. More of a Patrick Henry kind of a guy.

Is there a quick way to get back to the first posts? How do you do that? I'd like to see them. It'd be like reading a diary or something. My early libertarian days. etc.

Besides, you gotta understand my nature when I'm on the warpath. Hell, I've had a couple of timeouts during my years here. I think I've been pretty consistent. But I would like to see those early posts from back in the day. Just don't know how other than clicking "Next Page" a million times.

I have posts from 9-11. Oh man. I'd love to read my stuff from Elian Gonzalez. I bet those posts would remind you of the way I am right now re: sales tax.

I found my way back to 2001. Check this out:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/595243/posts?q=1&;page=51

Here's a thread where Freepers were freeping a poll. The freepers were in FAVOR of a "stimulus" bill. I, being my usual self, went against the tide:

Much as I'd love to dis Daschle, the more I read about this "stimulus", the gladder I am its dead. What the hell has the world come to when we are giving "tax rebates" to people who didn't pay taxes? Can we please call them what they are? They are handouts. The Congress--both sides of the aisle--apparantly was willing to give some spending money to the po' folks. To stimulate the economy. Yucko. Then there is this matter of health care. Both sides were willing to subsidize health care. The GOP subsidy would basically only help folks who don't need help, and the Dems would help the po' folks. But what the hell does any of that have to do with stimulus?

True, there were some tax cuts that affected actual taxpayers. Corporate taxes. Which is fine, I guess, but were they really growth-promoting taxes? And anyway, isn't the whole "stimulus" idea a little too Keynsian? There are plenty of reasons for a tax cut that don't require a recession.

I would give the GOP the benefit of the doubt and say they know best how to strategize, they must have some poll numbers, except that apparantly no one really gives a rat's fanny about this bill. YOu know what I say? Good riddance to bad rubbish. BOTH parties were wasting our time and money playing politics. Wonder what the Congress's rating is compared to the President, or even the press. Anyone care to wager which is dead last?

The President postured on this one. He is trying to help the party win seats. I am all for that. Anything to get Daschle out of power. Anything, that is, except saying they should have passed that crappy so-called stimulus bill. But hey, that' s just my opinion, I could be wrong.

That was me 10 years ago, doing much the same as I am doing now. Speaking my mind regardless of what the herd thinks.

I’m coming late to this discussion, but I wanted to mention one thing re: Huck’s posting history. Namely, he put up a truly vile thread a day or two after the Bin Laden killing comparing FR to DU. He said we weren’t giving Obama enough credit—and said we were no different than DU in the anti Obama sniping we’d been engaged in. [He may have compared it to DUers hatred of Bush; I’d have to go back and check.]

I posted several comments pointing out how uninformed, inaccurate or just plain old disgusting his comparison was. Plenty of FReepers who had been taken in by Huck’s smear immediately realized they’d been played, and said so. Huck never had the decency to address even one of my comments. He smeared the entire FR community w LIES, and defended them to the end. Something’s definitely not right somewhere.
