My, my Huck you have been very busy. If anyone wants to read an almost unending stream of nastiness... click on Huck’s name and go look at what he has been posting. It wouldn’t bother me as much if you weren’t being terribly misleading in most of your posts.
For instance you said that the 999 plan would take 30% of people’s income. You must have a pretty low opinion of your fellow freepers if you are trying to pass that one off. There is a 9% tax on people’s income and a 9% tax on sales of NEW ITEMS. If you buy a used car or a used house you don’t pay the sales tax. It also eliminates the 15.3% “Payroll tax”. Even if someone was able to spend every penny they made on taxable items and they paid the 9% income tax, that still would only come to 18% not 30%. You are a liar.
I have my own reservations about the plan, but it is still wrong to try to out and out lie about it. I don’t think that it has much of a chance of passing through congress for one thing. The president can propose ideas such as this, but the congress has to write the legislation and pass the legislation. I just can’t see congress eliminating the mortgage deduction with the housing market being what it is.
You are free to make valid criticism, and share your opinion, but you are just plain nasty and you lie. I challenge anyone to read through all of your posts and see if they don’t come to the same conclusion. I feel sorry for you.
Defenders of 9-9-9 point out that it is, by Cain’s own plan, a stepping stone to the Fair Tax, which is a 30% consumption tax. In fact, his adherants seem to think he’s not touting that fact enough! So, according to their thinking, I’m helping his cause.

Huck you are in luck. There are a group of people that have the exact same sentiment about the GOP as you! They would really appreciate your personality and your posts: http://www.democraticunderground.com/
And don't let the door hit you in the butt on your way out!
I hear this a lot and it cracks me up. It's like the people who say they don't like 9-9-9 but they like Cain. Why? It's his signature plan. He's done everything he can to totally identify himself with it. If his signature economic plan is a turkey (it is, and a political loser at that), what's to like? His voice?
No thanks. I like it here.

Sorry you can’t handle the truth. Have some kool-aid. You’ll feel better.
Apparently, you can't handle that. You'd talk yourself into believing bad pizza is good. How this helps anyone is beyond me. It's seems like just an inability to face facts.
The GOP clearly lacks executive talent. Hell, the only actual executives in the field are Romney, Huntsman, and Perry. You're impressed?
The strange thing Huck is that a lot of people are not sure about the 999 plan, but Mr. Cain's numbers are still soaring. If you can't figure that out, maybe you are the one who hasn't done your research. I would suggest starting by watching his speeches and interviews, many of which can be found on YouTube, or by doing a Google video search. Then there are a lot of hours of his radio shows archived here: http://feeds.wsbradio.com/TheNewHermanCainShow
There is a whole lot to like about Herman Cain other than the “999” plan. If you can't figure out what his millions of new admirers are excited about after watching his videos and listening to his radio shows... somehow I don't think that I am going to be able to explain it to you. And the truth is I don't want an ill mannered bully such as yourself on our team anyway.
Why would it be 30%? And I thought he said food would be exempt.
I know where his admirers are coming from. Style over substance.
Actually, it’d be 33%

Fair Tax is Phase 2 of Cain’s plan to impose a hideous consumption tax on America:

9-9-9 would bankrupt most seniors who are on a fixed income and already cutting corners.... this is a terrible plan and it stuns me everyone is falling for it.
Here we are worried about in inflation, while the “conservative” and the “tea party” want to make all our savings and investments take a 33% hit. Unless we just want to hold the money for fun and not actually spend it—that’s our choice.
Cain wants to tax my savings and investments at 33% and I’m a bully? Grow a spine. This is real life. It’s not a game. Cain can go sell some more bad pizza and keep his filthy hands off my hard earned money that has been TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY!!!
I don’t see anything about food exemptions. I do see some stuff about “empowerment zones” being exempt. Think that includes us? Is Herm gonna empower me?
Don’t worry. The powers that be will never allow a flat tax. That would put a lot of lobbyists out of work. I like the idea of a flat tax with no deductions, though. Everyone pays the same percent in income tax - no exceptions.
Your smarmy, lying attacks here are highly offensive. I think that we have a very good field of candidates this year. I will be glad to support any one of them in the general ellection against Obama. If you don't have anything constructive to offer... you are helping the other side. You are merely a tool for the other side.
You don't belong in this forum. This forum is for people who believe in this country and want to make it a better place for our children and grandchildren. You are using it in a destructive way, trying to tear down our candidates. I hope and pray that your efforts will win you some scrutiny from one of the administrators. If they take a look at your large volume of disgusting disruptive nasty posts they most likely will zot you back to where you came from.
Huck, you are a delusional. I have followed your links. There is no evidence provided that Mr. Cain has ever supported a 33% tax.
I'm not here to put politicians or wannabe politicians on a pedestal. I'm not here to make you feel good. I'm here because I love LIBERTY. I call em like I see em, and you're free to take it or leave it. I suggest you leave it.

Herman Cain’s bio:
Bachelors degree in Mathematics.
Masters degree in Computer Science.
Mathematician for the Navy, where he worked on missile ballistics (making him a rocket scientist).
Computer systems analyst for Coca-Cola.
VP of Corporate Data Systems and Services for Pillsbury (this is the top of the ladder in the computer world, being in charge of information systems for a major corporation).
All achieved before reaching the age of 35. Since he reached the top of the information systems world, he changed careers!
Business Manager. Took charge of Pillsburys 400 Burger King restaurants in the Philadelphia area, which were the companys poorest performers in the country. Spent the first nine months learning the business from the ground up, cooking hamburger and yes, cleaning toilets. After three years he had turned them into the companys best performers.
Godfathers Pizza CEO. Was asked by Pillsbury to take charge of their Godfathers Pizza chain (which was on the verge of bankruptcy). He made it profitable in 14 months.
In 1988 he led a buyout of the Godfathers Pizza chain from Pillsbury. He was now the owner of a restaurant chain. Again he reached the top of the ladder of another industry.
He was also chairman of the National Restaurant Association during this time. This is a group that interacts with government on behalf of the restaurant industry, and it gave him political experience from the non-politician side.
Having reached the top of a second industry, he changed careers again!
Adviser to the Federal Reserve System. Herman Cain went to work for the Federal Reserve Banking System advising them on how monetary policy changes would affect American businesses.
Chairman of the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank. He worked his way up to the chairmanship of a regional Federal Reserve bank. This is only one step below the chairmanship of the entire Federal Reserve System (the top banking position in the country). This position allowed him to see how monetary policy is made from the inside, and understand the political forces that impact the monetary system.
After reaching the top of the banking industry, he changed careers for a fourth time!
Writer and public speaker. He then started to write and speak on leadership. His books include Speak as a Leader, CEO of Self, Leadership is Common Sense, and They Think Youre Stupid.
Radio Host. Around 2007after a remarkable 40 year careerhe started hosting a radio show on WSB in Atlanta (the largest talk radio station in the country).
He did all this starting from rock bottom (his father was a chauffeur and his mother was a maid). When you add up his accomplishments in his lifeincluding reaching the top of three unrelated industries: information systems, business management, and bankingHerman Cain may have the most impressive resume of anyone that has run for the presidency in the last half century.
