Obama Crushes Perry In New Poll
The Business Insider ^ | 10/12/11 | Zeke Miller

A new Rasmussen poll is pouring salt on Texas Gov. Rick Perry's wounds.

The struggling one-time front-runner is now trailing President Barack Obama in a head-to-head matchup 49 percent to 35 percent. Obama was leading Perry six or fewer points in two recent Rasmussen polls — and Perry narrowly polled ahead of Obama in early September.

Perry would fare worse than businessman Herman Cain, who in a poll last week trailed Obama 42 percent to 39 percent. Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney polls even with Obama — the best of the Republican presidential candidates.

How about we stop with the BS and stop trying to claim that one of our best choices is ‘lousy’?

Obama is lousy. Perry or any of the GOP candidates would be a good step up.

It reminded me of one of those clips where it sounds like him but the sentences are weird.

Well, I still like Perry....maybe he is not so hot as a debater....but one great Govenor...way better than the half a commie flip-flopping gov in mass.

It is a year before our elections....so lets see what happens

“Who did they poll? Occupy Wall Street? Occupy LA?”

These numbers must be completely fabricated; even “Occupy Wall Street” is furious & disgusted with Obama.

I doubt he’ll even be on the 2012 ticket; he’s taken a pounding in the polls (real elections, that count) since 2009.

You know what? If you don’t want to quickly earn a troll label, you come back to defend your statements instead of just making cowardly hit-and-run posts like you did here.

Even though the Bushes have looked down with disdain on Perry, he would be seen as Bush, III, and go down to general election defeat, so it seems. I think the inarticulation (Bushes and Perry are called poor debaters.)is killing him politically. At this point I don’t see anyone taking the nomination from Mittens, but I personally think R. Santorum has less baggage than the others.

Spot on. I liked Perry until he imploded and now I’m pushing for Cain. I’d take any of the current GOP field against Obama or any Dem.

“Not surprising... I get the impression from many Freepers’ posts that they’d rather have Romney as president, or even see Obama re-elected, over Perry.”

“Perplexing. Sickening.”

False premise. The choice is not limited to Obama/Romney/Perry, especially this far out from election day.

Believe it or not, there are far better, and Conservative, candidates in the race. Time and the campaign trail will reveal who exactly has the mojo......

The poll is nonsense. Two thirds of voters can hardly wait to vote for the “other guy”. November 2012 can’t come soon enough. Obama is beyond failure. No president except FDR has ever been re-elected in such a horrible economy. The media knows Obama can’t win, so they are trying to promote Romney, who they consider the next best thing. Romneycare is the the parent of Obamacare. Obama even paid the same advisers as Romney, including one MIT professor who says there is no difference between the two. Romney and Obama would make good running mates.

Perry is the best choice.

now I’m pushing for Cain

How long do you think the sleazy, behind-the-scenes Romney machine is going to let Cain stay on top?

I did not vote for John McCain. I figured; “how bad can Obama really be?” Well, now we know. You go ahead and make the choice to allow Obama another 4 years.

I’ve seen what he is all about and I understand what would happen to this nation if he had no re-election to worry about.

I cannot and will not waste my vote in 2012.

So the essence of the pic is correct - if Bubba “better put some ice on it” changed his registration to “R” and was running against Obama, you’d be fine with it. Newsflash - this is a CONSERVATIVE website, not a rah rah GOP one.

This candidates “going after each other” is simply a format the media loves, but is bad for the candidates. It’s all very “Jerry Springer-esque”

Right now, Republican voters want to see candidates going after Obama, not each other.

Yeah and who goes to a debate on the economy with NO PLAN. He looked clueless up there, muttering “energy independence” a bunch of times is not a coherent message on how to grow the economy.
