He made it pretty clear he liked Thompson.

Anyway it doesn’t matter. republican voters pick the nominee. If they can’t reason and find unity amongst themselves and have to rely on a third party to in essence dictate the nominee that is pathetic.

Besides I don’t believe they’d listen to him. I think he’d choose Perry and conservatives seem intent on painting him the anti-Christ and would scream Rush is a RINO etc...for not selecting Cain who has his own breaks with conservative orthodoxy.

All have room to grow in this primary season, to fill in areas where they are seriously lacking. If Perry made it clear that he grokked the contemporary concern that amnesty to illegales would be a lasting national liberal/Democrat take-over in the making (they’re not going to vote against spoils to themselves) then maybe 20-30% more Republicans would be comfortable with him. It’s OK I suppose to have a heart but it’s foolish to “love” America into a Democrat dystopia.
