How in the world did this false rummer get started here?
Was is because that one reporter asked Mr. Cain if he would consider being VP for romney? And then Mr. Cain said something like, only if romney had changed his views from what they used to be.. but that he wasn’t looking to be anybody’s VP, because he’s planning to be President? Is that where the mix up came from?
Got a quote? Because what I heard him say was he would be anybody's VP but Perry. I never heard him say anything about Rommey changing his positions.
The way I heard it was that Cain was asked if he would consider a veep spot and he said he would for anyone but Perry.
Most people felt that kinda meant Romney as the others are way back in the pack.
Either way it was a gratuitious insult to Perry and one of the two big issues I have with Cain, the other being that he took the WaPo’s rock story seriously and blamed Perry .
That comment would definitely put Cain in a bad light - saying if Mitt changed his views! IOW, if Mitt is a flip flop, I’d be his VP!
