In a radio interview just now, Herman Cain previewed his Tuesday night debate plan: Im going after Romney.
"Im not going after Perry. I dont need to go after Perry," Cain said, per POLITICO's Juana Summers.

Nothing would surprise me, nothing.
I hope Cain doesn't lose track of what has started and sustained his momentum. He has a deep background as a motivational speaker - he does it very well. Romney has a lot of campaign experience from 2008 that involved giving and taking nasty jabs between the candidates. He does it very well. Stick to your strengths, Herman. Don't play to Romney's strengths.
Romney is going first, then Cain is going after him. Why is this news?
Hmmm. Not a transcript but "per POLITICO's Juana Summers". I'd like to see what the context was, not that a fine organization like POLITICO would ever take anything out of context.
The debate’s at 8 pm EST on Bloomberg Television. Here’s a web site that has more info on it, including a channel finder:
You can also watch it live via streaming.
Let Cain be Cain and let Romney and Perry be the ones acting like clowns.
This is going nowhere. Frankly, some of you Cain supporters have Cain fever, Quite a few have turned into Cain cultists! The gratuitous attacks on Perry from you guys will sadly continue unabated.
What makes you think Bachmann or Paul have a clue? Makes no difference anyway; neither of them have a prayer.
Bravo, excellent comment. And so true. Cain has great one-liners, but that’s just about it. His 9-9-9 plan would be a disaster, his foreign policy knowledge is zip, oh but he makes people laugh. Amazing what people will fall for, another charm offensive by someone with no experience, just like Obama. Geez.
Thank you!
Thank you fl. Yep...my sentiments exactly.
Oh really, loudly proclaim that you’ll attack another candidate before the debate???
Gee, this doesn’t sound staged or anything.
What the heck is Bloomberg television? I bet this will turn out to be a great debate, and only 400 people will see it.
This call out is one of 2 things:
1) Cain’s been going a mile a minute with appearences and interviews. I think he’s on auto-pilot right now and looking to make a splash.
2) Romney seriously looks like a bufoon when he goes on the attack. It doesn’t come naturally to him, and it’s the only thing that chips away at his highly polished veneer. Has Cain “called out” Romney to get Romney to come out swinging at him? That way Cain gets attention, and Romney looks kinda stupid.
If it’s the latter, it’s brilliant. If it’s the former, it’s the beginning of crash & burn for Cain.
Um, EW!!!
:p
I dont see how perry makes it back after that dumbassed statement regarding instate tuition for illegals.
I dont see how perry makes it back after that dumbassed statement regarding instate tuition for illegals.
And likewise, if Palin endorses Perry those supporting Cain would have a fit and then explode.
Palin’s endorsement means nothing.
Do you mean that you don’t believe the Perrywinkles when they tell us he is the only viable alternative to Mitt Romney? What are you, a heretic? :->
