It did post, you did well. I’ve been flamed unmercifully for saying that Cain could have given a more measured, neutral and less inflamatory response on the Perry hunting camp thing. He lashed out before he even knew the facts of the matter. And now, to add to the silliness, we have the preacher and Mormon thing... just silly.
My gut told me to be wary of Cain when he gave his announcement speech. It was just to much of a sing-song camp meeting delivery and to make it worse he toned all that down later trying to become the everyman. Someone must have advised him he was looking a little too... dare I say it? Hyphenated-American. There, that may have been nice enough.
I gave him serious benefit of doubt and read as much as I could in the time I have had. I like a lot of what he says. I’m wary of the 9-9-9 deal for specific reasons... mostly not enough clarity to evaluate accurately but what I have done I don’t like since it whacks me in retirement after having paid through the nose while working by treating my investment income and sales taxes to amount to more than my planned capital gain income.
I’m no huge Perry fan because of the blunders he has made over the Guardasil, the in state tuition, the border fence position and the Trans Texas Corridor but he might just shake the place up.
I hate to think that AGAIN we will have to vote for the least objectionable candidate. But, that is a relatively easy choice with obastard running.
Exactly how does 9-9-9 "whack" you more in retirement? What marginal rates do you currently pay on your various sources of income?
