The movement known as "Occupy Wall Street" has spread far beyond its starting point in lower Manhattan. CBS News correspondent Bigad Shaban reports that it now has offshoots in 25 cities nationwide, and political leaders from both sides are weighing in.
From D.C. to Alabama to Portland, demonstrators protest everything from corporate greed to joblessness to economic inequality.
Back in N.Y., 39-year-old Jesse LaGreca is one of the more prominent voices.
"You've got people here being told they need to face a lower standard of living, that we can't pay the wages that we used to enjoy, that the promises that were made to our grandparents are going to be broken," LaGreca said.

Promises? What promises?
This sounds like the rantings of a 10 year old that thinks money grows on trees.

I wish them luck in finding a job after they just bashed the same people that employs them.
“Corporate Greed” is why people get paychecks.

My cousin’s son is 28,never went to college, works in a body shop in the Poconos of Pennsylvania. He makes over $900.00 /week after taxes and didn’t have a clue what “Occupy Wall Street’ was when I asked him.He is also married, owns his own house and has two cars. Why can’t the “fleabaggers” in New York City do similar ?

The useful morons are blaming Wall Street, Coroporations and the tooth fairy for the results of the democrat control of congress since 2006. The Clinton administration instituted the giving away of free houses and free mortgages and commanded that banks give credit to the uncreditworthy on pain of regulatory death. The entire world bought the bad paper generated by federal fiat to the banking world.
This protest garbage is just a red herring to keep eyes away from the real criminal in chief so he can stand for reelection. That's all.

Competition is a remarkable mechanism for controlling greed.
The best form of protest is deregulation to promote competition.

I’m curious... does this help Obama in that the public may perceive the protestors as being opposed to him?

If the protesters would stop chanting “corporate greed is bad” and start yelling “make as much as you can” then corporations may get a bit more confident that they won't be robbed blind and start hiring again.
These people protesting are pure Communist that don't want jobs, they want handouts.

Good question. I think that is his only hope but I also think that once people get a real look at the protesters they will come to realize that Obama and the Communist protesters are the same.

Some of the folks in Atlanta know what they’re protesting...and it’s unbelievable to me that this creed is on paper, and no news organization is reporting on it.
If you don’t...if you don’t...want to listen...want to listen...to the group speak...to the group speak...go to 1:51 on the video...go to 1:51 on the video.

True grassroots demonstrations don’t usually have people taking dumps on cop cars and don’t have Craigslist ads offering pay for protesters.

What promises? Who made them?
Once the people realize that they HAVE GOT TO reduce the Government control and spending and do so, things will get better.
The Government takes too much money out of the hands of the people.
We have whole departments of Government that exist only to give the Government power and control. That takes money and the Government takes that money from the people.

"You've got people here being told they need to face a lower standard of living, that we can't pay the wages that we used to enjoy, that the promises that were made to our grandparents are going to be broken" Hey dumba$$, it's not "evil" corporations that are saying this, it's your hero 0. He's the one that wants to remake us into Europe, and has, through all his policies, been doing his level best to make it happen.
USELESS idiot is more like it.
